This guide explains how to enable or disable the registrar lock in the Gigatech client area.
Before you begin
Open the secure Gigatech client area at https://portal.gigatech.nl. Menu names can vary slightly depending on your service and hosting plan.
Steps
- Log in to the client area.
- Open Domains and select My Domains.
- Choose the domain and open Registrar Lock.
- Enable the lock to help prevent unauthorized transfers.
- Disable it only when preparing an authorized transfer, then save the change.
- Re-enable the lock when the transfer is cancelled or no longer required.

Open a support ticket from the Gigatech client area and include the affected service or domain name. Never send passwords, complete payment-card details, authenticator secrets, or recovery codes.
