Some cPanel environments let you manage PHP extensions for the selected PHP version.
Before you begin
Log in to the secure Gigatech client area at https://portal.gigatech.nl, open the relevant hosting service, and use the cPanel login action. cPanel labels can differ slightly by theme, version, and hosting configuration.
Steps
- Confirm which extension and PHP version the application requires.
- Open cPanel and select Select PHP Version.
- Confirm the current PHP version and open the Extensions view.
- Enable the required extension or disable an extension only when you understand the dependency.
- Save or apply the selection if required.
- Test the website and check for PHP errors.
- Re-enable the previous extension when the change causes a failure.
Important notes
- Available extensions are controlled by the server configuration and hosting plan.
- Disabling extensions such as mysqli, mbstring, curl, or ionCube can break applications that depend on them.
