This guide explains how to set up two-factor authentication with an authenticator app in the Gigatech client area.

Before you begin

Open the secure Gigatech client area at https://portal.gigatech.nl. Menu names can vary slightly depending on your service and hosting plan.

Steps

  1. Install a compatible authenticator app on a trusted mobile device.
  2. Log in to the client area and open Security Settings.
  3. Enable Two-Factor Authentication.
  4. Scan the displayed QR code in the app.
  5. Enter the current one-time code to confirm setup.
  6. Store the recovery code separately from the phone.

Need help?

Open a support ticket from the Gigatech client area and include the affected service or domain name. Never send passwords, complete payment-card details, authenticator secrets, or recovery codes.
