This guide explains how to enable or disable the registrar lock in the Gigatech client area.

Before you begin

Open the secure Gigatech client area at https://portal.gigatech.nl. Menu names can vary slightly depending on your service and hosting plan.

Steps

  1. Log in to the client area.
  2. Open Domains and select My Domains.
  3. Choose the domain and open Registrar Lock.
  4. Enable the lock to help prevent unauthorized transfers.
  5. Disable it only when preparing an authorized transfer, then save the change.
  6. Re-enable the lock when the transfer is cancelled or no longer required.

Open a support ticket from the Gigatech client area and include the affected service or domain name. Never send passwords, complete payment-card details, authenticator secrets, or recovery codes.
